Anguilla Anyone?

With a population of just 12,000 people, Anguilla is part of the Leeward Islands near St. Martin/St. Marteen. The island has a growing number of luxury resorts and villas, but maintains a laidback attitude. There are still goats wandering the streets and there are quaint little beach homes.

American travelers rejoice! The official language is English. Similar to other small islands throughout the caribbean, raggae can be heard blaring from passing cars.

The best beaches are Shoal Bay West, which is one of the biggest. It is two miles long of perfect white sand. Tourist magazines consistently rate it one of the best in the world.

Sandy Ground is the "party" beach. There are lots of locals and a big boat race in August. Johnnos nighclub is also a popular spot on the beach.

April and May are best for weather and prices. Check here for all things Anguilla.

My favorite island in the world (but expensive)! Good place to unwind and just be at one with the world. Don't spoil it by teling everyone.
