New Embassy Suites

The next hotel to open in Santo Domingo, the Embassy Suites at Silver Sun Gallery located at Av. Tiradente and Gustavo Mejia Ricart will have 180 rooms looking out to the Naco shopping and business district. The hotel will add 180 rooms to the city inventory, but also has eight meeting rooms with capacity for up to 700 people and a business center. It is claimed to be the tallest building in Santo Domingo, at 30 stories. The hotel is taking bookings starting 1 July. It will fill the shortage of rooms in the city now that the hotels Santo Domingo, Hispaniola and Jaragua have temporarily closed.
The hotel is managed by Hector Concari, former general manager of the Renaissance Jaragua. He pointed out that each of the rooms is a 50-60-square meter suite that means that it has a bedroom and a separate living room area that can also serve as a small office. Each room has a microwave and mini refrigerator. He said that the main hotel chef is Mexican, but the main restaurant will serve dishes with a Dominican touch. The lobby and meeting rooms are on the fourth floor.
