As travel season gets ready to kick into high gear you've probably started making your plans. One usually thinks about how to get from the airport to the hotel. There are the usual options that can be included by your travel agent, sometimes at a padded cost. Some hotels offer transport for a fee (complimentary if you pay enough for your room).

He has proven himself to be reliable and his rates are reasonable. JET BLUE RETURNS

JetBlue, which resumes flights into Las Americas International (SDQ) from John F Kennedy International on Thursday, 24 May, has opened a City Ticket Office at Plaza Las Americas II on Winston Churchill Avenue. The new office is on the shopping center's second level. Another low cost carrier, Spirit Airlines, is located in the same building.

DOMINICANS DO D.C.

I like to promote anything that involves travel and latin flavor. Whereas DC is not a destination known for its Dominican inhabitants, the Memorial Day Weekend kick-off will feature the sexy hombres of my "second home." If you'll be in DC this weekend be sure to get over to Club Fusion on Thursday night for Dominican Heat!

Cocks Are Huge in the D.R.

I don't think I've been anywhere during my travels where cocks get more attention or the people get more excited about them. I myself like a good cock. In fact, I've shared a home with some great ones during my vacations to the south when I was growing up.

But never have I seen cock adored so unapologetically and unashamedly than I have in the Dominican Republic. The way they stroke them and caress them. Oftentimes bringing the cocks right out into the public as they work them into a frenzy!

Yes, cockfighting is a major part of Dominican culture. If you've never experienced it, you should do so on your next trip to the country. There are venues throughout the city and countryside. And as always, it's a chance to get away from the everyday tourist activities and mingle with the locals.

FRIDAY FAVORITE 13

That first stay in Santo Domingo was definitely a good one. I've written about "mi nino" Domingo, whom we haven't seen since that special encounter all those years ago. Today I spotlight Edwin.

We gave nicknames to several of the people we met on our premier stay in the city. Edwin was dubbed "the babys daddy" because of his good looks, his innocence and his genuinely warm demeanor. It's been nice to see him grow over the years. He's confident, humorous and continues to be attentive to that special person he's with, as well as to his friends.

He is one of the people I look forward to seeing on every trip to Santo Domingo.

SPORTS NEWS

Speaking at a press conference at Santo Domingo's Clarion Hotel, NBA star Charlie Villanueva announced that he would like to represent the Dominican Republic in international competitions. Villanueva also announced that the team Dominican Power, made up of Dominicans residing in New York would play an exhibition game in the DR in August.

DP will be playing against members of the Dominican Basketball League. Villanueva is on the DP team.

With so many events going on during the Memorial Day Weekend it started me thinking about all the beaches, which started me thinking about all those hot guys on the beaches, which started me thinking about one of my fantasies......Sex on the beach. Whew!

Bringing up the rear (uh, no pun intended) for our look into Memorial Day events is the very first Salute And Holla. It will be held in the historic city of Santo Domingo, located on "Temptation Island" in the country of the Dominican Republic.




















By now, readers know how fond I am of the country and its inhabitants. So, to give an unbiased report I'll simply stick to the information provided by Mario Sessions on his site.

Santo Domingo has a vivid nightlife, from cruise bars to discos that rival any you will find in New York or London. The only difference is that the clubs are packed with gorgeous Dominican men, kissed by the tropical sun. They are some of the friendliest and uninhibited men in all the caribbean. If you combine this with a famous cuba libre or Presidente beer you'll have an experience that can only be described as caliente!

(Okay, so I added my own flavor to the narrative. Couldn't resist)

Salute And Holla will offer a variety of events, including parties and a day-trip to the Boca Chica Beach.
