Towns Top Rookie

Dominican national basketball team player, seven-footer Karl-Anthony Towns was chosen by the NBA as its Rookie of the Year today, Monday, 16 May 2016. Towns plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Towns played for the University of Kentucky before being recruited by Minnesota.

He averaged 18.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks and is credited with having helped the Timberwolves win 13 more games than they did the previous season. Towns played all 82 games and was named Western Conference rookie of the month in all six months the award was handed out.
