American Eagle, an American Airlines affiliate, began daily flights between Miami and LaRomana International Casa De Campo Airport on April 5th. With this new route the airlines flies a 50-seat Embraer 145 for the first time outside the US. Airport director Luis Emilio Rodriguez highlights that the new daily flight contributes to strengthening trade & leisure travel to the LaRomana region. TripAdvisor, known as the worlds largest travel site, has announced winners of its 2011 Travelers' Choice Beaches awards. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic ranks #8 on the list. Providenciales, Turks & Caicos was listed as #1. Budget travel expert Arthur Frommer reports that rates for departures in the caribbeans low season month of May remain reasonable in the Dominican Republic. The Toronto Star also lists Frommers Top 15.
