General director Claudia Schwarz says that the hotel, which opened with 14 rooms in May 1996, has since grown to 61 rooms and now includes a kite surfing and windsurfing school, and a massage center. The hotel's Serenade Bar and Restaurant right on the beach offers weekly themed nights: Mongolian Grill (fish, meat and vegetable grills on Wednesdays), Lobster & Shrimps (Fridays), Argentinian Grill (Saturdays), and a Dominican Buffet (Sundays).
